This year I became one of the Executive Producer to two wonderful projects,
"West is West" the sequel to the BAFTA award winning "East is East" and "
Living in Emergency - stories of Doctors Without Borders" a hard hitting
documentary. I am so proud to be part of these two films and love the fact
that they are so wildly different and yet I can relate to both as a socially
concerned global citizen. "West is West" continues to deal in a comic way,
with cultural identity issues that arise from being a mixed race family;
while "Living in Emergency" raises important questions for humanitarians,
really getting to the core of who we are and why we exist. From comedy to harsh reality, both these films touched my heart, asI hope it does yours. |
