Poetry
I write what I know. I write from the heart. I don’t know any other way to write than from the deepest corners of truth. I would call myself an accidental writer, as one day my constant emotional chatter in my brain found its way onto paper and suddenly I found my voice, I found confidence to write not only to myself but for others as well. I found the strength to take the darkest parts of me and bring them to light and spread the light by sharing the best parts of me. I worried about the day I wouldn’t be able to write, I would be depleted ... I asked Gregory David Roberts, the author of Shantaram, if he ever faced writers block (I thought of all people he would be able to advise me, considering he wrote a novel of nearly 1000 pages) and he said, “I never allow myself to get writers block. I write that’s what I do. So everyday, even if I am not inspired, I sit down and just write!”
